The illustration department of the WDKA was asked by the municipality of Rotterdam to create posters for the Eurovision song contest. Each student got an artist assigned to them, and I got Senhit who represented San Marino. I created a poster that combined both the act and the city of Rotterdam. In de poster you see the letters that look a lot like the iconic letters from Booijmans van Beuningen as a representation of Rotterdam and a portrait of Senhit that represent her.
I started my design process by researching the artist and the song she was contesting with. I started with a color pallet and looked for ways to represent the city of Rotterdam in the poster as well. These are sketches I made before I got to the final product.
