Smoking kills is an artwork made out of a collage from empty cigarette packages underneath an A1-sized paper where I cut out some lungs. I created this artwork because a lot of people who are close to me smoke. I'm always disgusted by the images that are on the packaging but it does not seem to bother the smokers around me. So I decided to create this artwork to show what smoking does to them by rearranging the pictures that they are so used to looking at, by blowing up those images and making them into one big image.
I collected a lot of empty cigarette packages from friends and family who smoke. I unfolded them, cut all the pictures and warning text out, and saved the stamps.
